IDM Updates for iTools

IDM Updates for iTools (sometimes known as the IDM Deployer) contain iTools support for the most recent Eurotherm instruments and firmware releases.

An IDM (Instrument Descriptor Module) is an iTools component that describes the characteristics of a specific instrument type and version.

If your installation of iTools does not appear to support your instrument, please ensure you have downloaded and installed the latest version of iTools under Downloads below, then download and install the latest IDM Update for iTools.

IDM Updates can only be installed for matching versions of iTools – for example:

• IDM Update #9 for iTools V9.85 can only be installed over iTools V9.85
• IDM Update #3 for iTools V9.87 CANNOT be installed over iTools V9.85 (iTools V9.87 should be installed first)

Only the latest IDM Update for a specific version of iTools needs to be installed, as this will always include all previous updates for that version of iTools – for example:

• IDM Deployer #1 for iTools V1.23 – contains Instrument A Version 1
• IDM Deployer #2 for iTools V1.23 – contains Instrument A Version 1 + Instrument B Version 1
• IDM Deployer #3 for ITools V1.23 – contains Instrument A Version 1 + Instrument B Version 1 + Instrument A Version 2
• etc
